Harbor Island Marina, Inc. lies midway along the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay, whose waters are renown worldwide for their great fishing, cruising and sailing.  This seafaring establishment has evolved into one of the most popular boating centers in Solomons, the Patuxent River and Southern Maryland.  Harbor Island is a full-service marina, as well as a boat repair facility with boat haul-out capability.  It has plenty of slips in which to berth your boat, whether you are just passing through or staying year-round.  Harbor Island accommodates guests needing overnight dockage.  Oil and ice are available at the main dock.  Harbor Island Marina features the Charles Street Brasserie restaurant and night club, where you can dine, party and listen to live music.  

Harbor Island Marina is the only marina actually located on Solomons Island and is a short walk to many great restaurants, gift shops, night clubs, and other destinations.  It is nestled between the Solomons Biological Laboratory and the Tiki Bar to the West.  It is about a fifty minute drive south of the Washington Beltway - Route 495.  As you are entering Solomons harbor aboard your boat, Harbor Island Marina will be found only a few hundred feet port side and is the first marina that you will see.  It is just a minute away from the open waters of the Patuxent River and only about a mile from the Chesapeake Bay, so you won't have to limit your boating to 6 MPH for long periods of time just to reach the Patuxent or travel far to cruise the bay. 

Harbor Island Marina has over one hundred boat slips, a fuel dock, two T-piers and other spaces to berth your boat.  The marina strives to keep it's slips full of customer's boats and always maintains a 90% to 100% occupancy rate.  Harbor Island's customers and slip holders are very friendly and love to socialize with one another.  Many of the marina's customers cannot wait for the weekend to arrive so that they can be with their "extended family" at Harbor Island.   

Harbor Island Marina provides overnight dockage to transients and can accommodate boat lengths over 200 feet on the main dock.  30 Amp and 50 Amp shore power are available.  

Harbor Island Marina sells oil, ice and other products on the main dock.  

Harbor Island Marina is a full-service marina that employs a knowledgeable staff of people who will repair your boat and get your engine running properly.  A 25-ton open-end travel lift and a 12-ton lift are always on the move - hauling and storing boats.  Heavy equipment, such as a crane, tractors, dump truck and a flat-bed trailer are on call.  Bottom painting; spray painting; gel coat repairs; fiberglass repairs; sand blasting; winterizing and shrink wrapping; gasoline and diesel engine repairs, rebuilds, and installations; swaging and rigging; equipment installations; setting and removal of engines; stepping and unstepping of masts; shaft alignments; repairs of running gear; machine shop fabrications - these are just some of the services offered.

Harbor Island Marina is also a do-it-yourself boat yard and as such, will allow customers, family members and friends to work on their own boats at the marina.  This arrangement saves those customers who wish to do their own work, from paying those yard rates, thus making boat ownership more affordable.  Just don't forget that the marina's employees are always available to work on your boat, if needed.   

Harbor Island Marina offers winter lay-up, short term and long term dry-storage for boats and trailers.  

Harbor Island Marina features the Charles Street Brasserie restaurant situated at the base of the main dock.  You will enjoy the great food, the great fun, and the live musical entertainment found there.  

Harbor Island Marina's office and Porthole Gift Shop are found inside the Victorian-style red-brick building located across the street from the harbor-side of the marina.  Marine supplies, glassware & gifts are sold inside the Porthole Gift Shop.  Browsers are welcome.
